Two Dead In Madison County Crash

MADISON COUNTY - Two people died after a head on crash in Madison County on Wednesday afternoon.

Montana Highway Patrol said that a GMC SUV was heading westbound when it crossed over the center line and drifted into the eastbound lanes, hitting a minivan.

The crash happened near mile marker seven on Norris Road around 4:15 p.m.

Troopers said the driver of the minivan was pronounced dead at the scene and their passenger died at the hospital.

The driver of the SUV remained in the hospital on Wednesday night.

MHP said both people in the minivan didn't have their seatbelts on.

The crash is still under investigation.
