Norris Road Crash Victims ID'd

The two victims of a car accident in Madison County Wednesday have been identified.

Herbert F. Petersen, 78, died at the scene and was not wearing a seat belt. His wife, Jacqueline L. Peterson, 75, died after being transported to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. The couple were from Pocatello, Idaho.

According to Montana Highway Patrol a female senior citizen was driving the SUV that drifted into the oncoming lane, hitting a minivan. She is still in the hospital and is responsive at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.

    HELENA, Mont. - The ACLU of Montana is challenging the constitutionality of a proposed ballot initiative that would require transgender residents to use public bathrooms that correspond with their sex at birth. The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in District Court in Cascade County on behalf of seven transgender Montanans, the parents of a transgender 9-year-old and the City of Missoula.

    BLEWETT PASS, Wash. - A semi truck overturned on Blewett Pass Monday, spilling its payload of apples on the road. WSP says 56,000 pounds of apples were dumped when the truck flipped. Traffic was slowed for hours on the pass that slices through the Cascade Mountain range.  No word yet on a cause or injuries.

    MOSES LAKE, Wash. - A Moses Lake tow truck driver is getting credit for assisting officers with arresting a felon on the run.  On Thursday afternoon, a Moses Lake Police Officer spotted 34-year-old Jeremiah Hamilton walking near Lauzier Playfields. Knowing Hamilton had felony warrants, the officer tried to stop him.
