Habitat for Humanity Repairs Tri-Cities Homes for Low-Income Families

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, WA-- Habitat for Humanity volunteers repaired Tri-Cities homes for low-income families Saturday as a part of their Impact Days weekend.
Volunteers completed several home preservation projects at ten homes across the area.

Homeowners provide the project materials and volunteers contribute the labor, which can save homeowners up to 90% of contractor charges.

People say they're very thankful for the volunteers' help.

"I am visually impaired so these guys helping me, it means a lot."

Habitat for Humanity encourages low-income families to apply to have their home fixed up by volunteers.

Organizers say they're planning more Impact Days weekends in July and October.
