SPOKANE, Wash. -- New Spokane Shock quarterback Brian Zbydniewski joined Sam Adams in the SWX Studio for another edition of Shock Talk powered by VPI Home Solutions on Thursday, May 22, to discuss what is now his third stint with the Shock and how he fits into the team in desperate need of veteran QB play.

Zbydniewski played for the Shock in 2006 when they were in the af2 and again in 2010 when they won the Arena Football League title. The AFL journey man had actually turned to working in finance before he got a phone call from the reigning MVP, Spokane QB Erik Meyer, and other members of the team. He initially said no, then he picked up a football, next thing he knew he was on a plane and suited up in an orange jersey at the Shock practice facility in Spokane Valley.

The Belhaven University alum earned his degree in business administration while setting records for the Blazers football team. Zbydniewski's professional career began with the South Georgia Wildcats of the af2 in 2005 after he graduated and went undrafted. The 6-foot-1 signal caller started played in 11 games for the Tampa Bay Storm in 2011 and more recently in 9 games with the Cleveland Gladiators last season before having to sit out the end of 2013 and the beginning of the 2014 season after suffering a clavical injury.

In his AFL career Zbydniewski has thrown for 5,010 yards passing, 93 touchdowns and 32 interceptions.
