Luke Meikle to Transfer from Gonzaga

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University sophomore-to-be Luke Meikle has been granted his release, Bulldogs head men’s basketball coach Mark Few announced Tuesday.

“Luke has decided to pursue other opportunities. We support his decision and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” Few said.

Meikle, from Tacoma, Wash., appeared in 15 games off the bench for the Bulldogs as a freshman this past season, averaging 0.9 ppg and 0.7 rpg. He scored a season-high 4 points against the University of Arkansas in the EA Sports Maui Invitational and grabbed a season-high 4 rebounds at home against Colorado State University.
