SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Shock have traded wide receiver Brandon Thompkins (5-9, 180) to the Philadelphia Soul, completing Spokane’s future considerations included in Wednesday’s trade.

Thompkins spent nearly three years playing for the Shock, with a quick stint in Utah at the beginning of 2013. During his time in Spokane he recorded 206 receptions for 2613 yards and 57 touchdowns.

The Shock previously traded offensive lineman Duke Robinson (6-4, 345) and future considerations (now fulfilled), to the Philadelphia Soul in exchange for defensive back Fred Shaw (6-2, 220) and future considerations.

Shaw, a veteran defensive back, first broke into the league with the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz in 2010. Shaw’s best season came in 2012 with the San Antonio Talons, when he totaled 105 tackles, seven pass break ups, and eight interceptions. Over the course of his AFL career Shaw has amassed 306 tackles, 64 pass break ups, seven forced fumbles, 26 interceptions, and five touchdowns.

In addition, the Shock announced Wednesday the addition of towering wide receiver Nick Truesdell (6-7, 240). Truesdell recorded 28 receptions for 402 yards and nine touchdowns while with the IFL’s Bemidji Axemen in 2014.

The Shock take on the Portland Thunder in a Pacific Division matchup this Friday, May 30 at 7 p.m. PDT in Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. Tickets to the game can still be purchased for as low as $14 by visiting SpokaneShock.com.
