The Tri-Cities' newest hospital is set to open its doors in a matter of weeks.
KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-Cities' newest hospital is set to open its doors in a matter of weeks.
However, before Trios at Southridge in Kennewick becomes a health hub, you can get a look at some areas of the new hospital, you'll never be allowed in again.
After two years of construction, it's the hospital is finally done - all 160,000 square feet! All the equipment is brand new, in fact, Trios is now a show site for Philips!
The cool thing about this weekend's open house is that a lot of stuff you'll get a chance to see, you will never get the chance to see again. Unless, of course, you need medical attention.
"Things like surgery rooms, the cath lab, diagnostic imaging, trauma rooms and ER. The only way you'd ever get to see that is unless you're a patient. Even then, you might not be in very good condition to take much in. So, Saturday will be the best time to see it all," Trios Health spokeswoman Lisa Teske said.
The open house begins at noon on Saturday and it goes until 6 P.M. Tour guides will take groups along in waves and it will take about 45 minutes per group.
On Friday, there is a ribbon cutting, but it is by invitation only. The Mayor of Kennewick has named Trios Southridge Hospital business of the day for Friday.
