The latest tips on the best places to visit and enjoy in Washington state are just a phone call away.
KENNEWICK, WA - The latest tips on the best places to visit and enjoy in Washington state are just a phone call away.
Now people can call and speak with a tourism expert about everything the state has to offer through the new ExperienceWA Call Center.
The toll free 800 number gives people the chance to ask questions and get referrals to travel resources.
This outlet is a big boost for the Washington travel industry after budget cuts and the closure of the state tourism office in 2011.
Legislators gave way and supported a funding grant to make the call center possible in partnership with the privately funded Washington Tourism Alliance.
"To have someone live on the other end of that line be able to discuss Washington state and all the great things that we have to offer is a real positive for communities across the state of Washington," said Kris Watkins, Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau.
The call center will send the Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau referrals and suggest to potential visitors the great attractions this region has to offer.
The ExperienceWA Call Center is open seven days a week from 8:30am to 5:30pm.
