The Free Masons unveiled the cornerstone of the new Trios Hospital on Friday.
KENNEWICK, WA - The Free Masons unveiled the cornerstone of the new Trios Hospital on Friday. In an interesting twist, one of our local Masons helped with this same ceremony when the first Kennewick Hospital opened more than 60 years ago.
The ceremony included Masons from around the state. It's meant to bless the building. The Masons poured wine, corn and oil on the cornerstone signifying joy, prosperity and brotherhood.
"I know how important hospitals, good health care, getting the facilities that you can do all the things that you need to nowadays is so important to the community," said Bruce Vesper, Grand Master of Masons in Washington.
Hospital staff offered tours for Masons and their families after the ceremony.
