RICHLAND, WA - Richland Police have arrested a man for a drug violation. A citizen saw the man passed out and sitting in his car early Sunday morning and called police.

Police checked out the call, and  found 36-year-old Ricky L. Corby of Pasco passed out in his vehicle around 5:00 A.M. On Sunday on Columbia Center Boulevard near Tapteal Drive. Corby was the only person in the vehicle.

Officers talked to Corby, and found a small bag with a powdery substance, believed to be meth, in his hand. Officers arrested Corby for possession of a controlled substance. Corby was then booked into the Benton County Jail on a 72-hour felony investigation hold.

Corby's vehicle was impounded and officers got a search warrant. The vehicle was searched and the baggie was found. Inside the baggie was 10 grams of what officers believe to be meth. The substance will be sent to the state crime lab for testing.

Officers are still investigating the incident.
