Troopers say Noel Kimball, 45, of Hayden was driving a semi truck registered out of Pasco when the accident happened. Kimball was driving westbound along State Route 290 when Artur Gurdyumov, 21, tried to turn onto westbound SR 290 from Idaho Road. The two collided head on and Kimball was thrown from the cab. The car spun off the road.
Paramedics took both Kimball and Gurdyumov to Sacred Heart with injuries.
Investigators say they found alcohol in Gurdyumov's car and say it appears he may have been drinking. He is facing charges for vehicular assault.
SPOKANE, WA - The Washington State Patrol is on the scene of a crash near Spokane that involves a semi truck registered out of Pasco.
Troopers say a passenger car crashed head on into the semi around 3:30 this morning on Highway 290 near Newman Lake. The car spun off the road, the semi rolled and the driver was thrown from the cab.
Paramedics took both drivers the hospital.
Troopers believe the person driving the car may have been drinking at the time of the crash, an investigation is underway.
