PENDLETON, OR - A Walla Walla man will spend 25 years in prison for sexual crimes against a Pendleton, Oregon child.
28-year-old Jason Dean Green was sentenced to 300 months (25 years) in prison Wednesday morning for sex crimes against a 6-year-old child from Pendleton.
On November 2, 2013, a Pendleton Police Department officer was notified of an allegation of sexual abuse by a six-year-old. The Pendleton Police Department officer immediately contacted the child and her family and began what became a lengthy investigation.
Green originally denied the sexual abuse accusation, but over the course of five months, officers from the Pendleton Police Department and Walla Walla Police Department and the Oregon State Police Crime lab investigated the claim and eventually arrested Green.
On March 27, 2014, detectives from PPD and WWPD found Green in Walla Walla and arrested Green for the sexual crimes he was originally of back in November 2013.
On April 3, 2014, a Umatilla County Grand Jury indicted Green for the sexual crimes and then on Wednesday morning, Green pleaded guilty to one count of first degree rape, one count of first degree sodomy, and one count of first degree luring.
A judge also sentenced Green Wednesday to 300 months in prison, without the possibility of any reductions or early release. Once Green is released from prison, he will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
