PASCO, WA - Second Harvest received a big boost on Thursday. The Pacific Northwest Division of the Agri-Business Cooperative CHS gave the food distributor a check for over $27,000.

CHS employees raised the money with barbeques, yard sales, and bowling tournaments. Second Harvest can turn that money into thousands of meals for local families.

"The equivalent of 135,000 meals for those people that are in need so it's a worthy effort and again, it's the growers, the employees, the people that made donations. We just kind of administered it, orchestrated it and we're very happy to do that," said Nick White, CHS Vice. Pres. PNW Region County Ops.

CHS is a nationwide farmer owned agriculture company. Employees at branches in Connell, Walla Walla, Quincy, and Idaho helped raise the money that was donated today.
