RICHLAND, WA - A new pub in North Richland - is That Place! Literally - that's it's name!
"That Place" is a new pub is out on Dalton Drive and Stevens Drive in Richland and when it opens, it will be the only place in North Richland to get local beer and wine with a meal.
The pub is a convenient spot for those who work in the research district in North Richland because it's right next to the WSU Wine and Science Center. On top of that, between the two couples that own it, three of them worked at Battelle.
"Every place at the bar is going to have a place where they can plug in their laptops. We are surrounded by scientists and engineers and they will be bringing their laptops. I know these people. I've worked at Battelle for 16 years, Laura's been there 24, Mark 28 years and we know these people, we know our client base," said Co-owner Teresa Schott.
And here's a fun fact, the dandelion you see on the sign outside That Place is there because Teresa blew one and made a wish to own a pub!
That Place is on track to open in July and will seat about 125 people. The business will be hiring about 14 people.
