    BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Miss Nevada Nia Sanchez, a fourth-degree black belt in the Korean martial art of taekwondo, has been crowned Miss USA 2014. She has beat out 50 other contestants Sunday night in Louisiana. First runner-up was Miss North Dakota Audra Mari. Erin Brady, of South Glastonbury, Connecticut, the 2013 winner, gave up her crown to Sanchez after a three-hour telecast from the Baton Rouge Civic Center in Louisiana.More >>

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - In case you missed the Miss USA Pageant on Sunday night, here are the 51 women who competed for the crown which ended up going to Miss Nevada, Nia Sanchez. This was 63rd Miss USA title and Sanchez will now go on to represent the U.S. at the Miss Universe competition later this year.

    BILLINGS,  Mont. (AP) - A government wildlife worker who recently landed her dream job researching grizzly bears in a Montana mountain range is recovering from a surprise bear attack that left her with a fractured skull and other serious injuries.    Officials say U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service field assistant Amber Kornak was attacked from behind on May 17 while working near a stream in the Cabinet Mountains.

    SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho - After a string of car break ins and burglaries last week, police in Spirit Lake say they have arrested two people for the crimes. The break ins happened overnight on May 16. Six total burglaries were reported to police in the area of Jefferson and 3rd Avenue. After a thorough investigation, Spirit Lake officers were able two identify and charge two suspects.

(AP) - A message in a bottle that a woman tossed off the coast of Massachusetts has been found nearly two decades later in Nova Scotia.    Eighty-year-old Rita Ganim tells the Gloucester Times she dropped the bottle into Ipswich Bay in August 2000 with a short message asking the person who found it to contact her.
