    BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Miss Nevada Nia Sanchez, a fourth-degree black belt in the Korean martial art of taekwondo, has been crowned Miss USA 2014. She has beat out 50 other contestants Sunday night in Louisiana. First runner-up was Miss North Dakota Audra Mari. Erin Brady, of South Glastonbury, Connecticut, the 2013 winner, gave up her crown to Sanchez after a three-hour telecast from the Baton Rouge Civic Center in Louisiana.More >>

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - In case you missed the Miss USA Pageant on Sunday night, here are the 51 women who competed for the crown which ended up going to Miss Nevada, Nia Sanchez. This was 63rd Miss USA title and Sanchez will now go on to represent the U.S. at the Miss Universe competition later this year.

    KHQ.COM - The Girl Scouts issued a warning to parents on their website Monday asking them to think twice before forcing their daughters to hug or kiss relatives at holiday gatherings.  "Have you ever insisted, 'Uncle just got here—go give him a big hug!' or 'Auntie gave you that nice toy, go give her a kiss,' when you were worried your child might not offer affection on her own?

    WASHINGTON - White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders says the White House position on embattled Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore hasn't changed, and Alabama voters should decide his fate.    Her comments follow White House counselor Kellyanne Conway's assertion Monday morning that a vote for Moore's Democratic opponent, Doug Jones, would be a "vote against tax cuts."

    KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho - The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man they believe hit a 13-year-old boy with his car over the weekend near the state line.  Billy B. Swift of Newman Lake was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and inattentive driving.  The boy's father said his son went to grab a snack from the gas station near their home Saturday night when a car veered off the road.
