KENNEWICK, WA - The 5th Annual Corvettes on the Columbia was a huge success. The two-day event raised $98,831 for the Make-A-Wish Washington. That's enough money to grant 17 wishes to children throughout eastern Washington, the largest amount of wishes ever granted from a single event.

Money came in from Corvette owners, Corvette clubs, live and silent auctions, and from the "Wheels for Wishes" campaign, held at all the McCurley Integrity Family of Dealerships throughout the month of May.

Two of those wishes were already granted Saturday night at the closing banquet.

"I'm so proud of our Club, the corvette community of cars that came from seven states and Canada, and our own community. For our Club to be involved with helping grant 17 wishes to these wonderful children, it's just overwhelming," said Chris Parks, President of the 3 Rivers Corvette Club.

The next Corvettes on the Columbia benefiting Make-A-Wish Washington is scheduled for June 5th and 6th, 2015.
