SPOKANE, WA -We’ve all been stuck behind the driver in the fast lane and if we’re being honest, we’ve probably been them. But if you’re using the left lane for anything but passing, Washington State Patrol says expect a ticket.

It’s actually illegal to cruise in the fast lane on any road with two or more lanes going the same direction in Washington because it blocks emergency vehicles and also leads to road rage with drivers passing dangerously on the right. If you get caught you could take home a $124 dollar ticket.
