Pastor for Family of Two Shot Kennewick Children Asks Community Not to Judge, Instead Give Love

Posted: Updated:
KENNEWICK, WA-- The Austin family's church, Kennewick First Presbyterian, is helping them get through this difficult time.

The church's pastor says the family is conscious and appreciative of the community support. He describes them as a tight-knit family.

Several prayer vigils have brought together community members to cope with their grief and send their love to the family.

"I think we always need to react with a non-judgmental attitude and to know that difficult circumstances happen. We respond with love and care as a community even when the reports come out we want to stand by the family and love them," said Rob Hagan, Kennewick First Presbyterian pastor.

The church is currently working with the family to make funeral arrangements.
