Car Hits Semi-Truck, Spills Fuel Onto South First Street in Yakima

Posted: Updated:
YAKIMA, WA-- Police Officers and fire fighters are cleaning up the scene of a car vs. semi-truck accident on the corner of Nob Hill Boulevard and South 1st Street.

Police officers said the driver of a black sedan pulled out of the McDonald's parking lot and did not see the semi-truck.

That is when the car struck the side of the semi, hitting the fuel tank and spilling fuel on the road.

Officers said the car is totaled, but no one in the car was seriously injured.  The driver of the semi-truck is also OK.

Fire fighters are cleaning up the fuel that spilled onto the road.  A tow truck took the totaled car off the scene.
