Mid-Columbia Pride Seeking Nominations for Inaugural Business Excellence Award

Posted: Updated:
KENNEWICK, WA - Mid-Columbia Pride Week is just about a month away and this year's celebration is bigger than ever. Not only is it bigger, there are some new additions.

One of them, you may want to start thinking about now. Mid-Columbia Pride is seeking nominations for their 2014 Business Excellence award. It's meant to recognize a local business known to offer great and equal service to the lesbian, gay, bi and transgender community.

"There were two gentleman that got married a couple months ago at a local hotel. The service was great, everything was beautiful and they even congratulated them on the marquis, which is exactly what they did for a wedding the weekend before. So, those are the kinds of stories that we're looking for," said Mid-Columbia Pride president, Christie Oar.

The winner of the inaugural award will receive $1,000. Whoever nominates the business will get $100. You can find the nomination form here: http://www.midcolumbiapride.com/news/2014-business-excellence-award-nominations/
