Investigation Continues Into Kennewick Children's Death

Posted: Updated:
KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police and the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab are still working to find out exactly what happened Monday afternoon when two children were found shot to death in their Hansen Park neighborhood in Kennewick.
Police say the parents are back in their house now as the investigation continues.

Forensic teams are looking into whether the gun used in the shooting was secured and who the last person to hold it was.

Police said earlier this week the medium sized handgun was registered to the father, Drew Austin.

Autopsy results released Thursday revealed Kate Austin, 16 died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso and Ethan Austin, 12 died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
