Benefit Auction and Dinner for Injured Marine from Hermiston Draws Crowd

HERMISTON, Ore. - A benefit dinner and auction for Lance Corporal Casey Allison drew quite a crowd on Friday night at the Hermiston Conference Center.

Tables adorned in red, white and blue were filled with friends, family and supporters of the injured Marine. Allison lost his leg after an explosive device went off in Afghanistan in January.

"It's amazing you know. A lot of people came out and I definitely didn't expect it at all. It's pretty amazing what a bunch of people threw together for me. I really didn't think it was going to happen or anything," Allison said.

Allison said he and his family plan to move back to the northwest when he retires from the Marines later this year.
