Baby Swans Draw Crowd to Terrace Heights Memorial Park

Posted: Updated:
TERRACE HEIGHTS, WA. -- Fathers at the Terrace Heights Memorial Park got a pleasant surprise Sunday; new baby swans.

The seven new babies were just born last week. It's the first time in more than 20 years that the park has seen any new swans.

"They're awesome," Alfonso Mena said. "I mean considering that they will come up to you and eat bread out of your hand too, you don't get to see that every day. And to have swans in Yakima is pretty cool too."

If you want to see the swans, you better hurry. Park officials say the babies will be adopted since swan parents can become aggressive with their own children after they grow up.
