HERMISTON, OR - Oregon State Police arrested a 31-year-old Hermiston woman Monday morning on a warrant issued for her arrest in connection with an investigation into a March 2014 wrong-way driver involved fatal traffic crash on Interstate 82 near Hermiston.

Around 8:30 a.m on Monday, OSP arrested Alicia G. Breckheimer at her Hermiston-area residence.

Breckheimer has been booked into  the Umatilla County Jail on a warrant for first degree manslaughter, second degree manslaughter, three counts of recklessly endangering another person, DUII, and reckless driving.

OSP says on March 7, 2014, around 1:30 a.m., a 2005 Cadillac CTS four-door driven by Breckheimer was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 82 near milepost 4 when it collided nearly head-on with a 2006 Chrysler 300 four-door driven by 66-year-old Robert Henry Baker from Ione, Oregon.

After impact, the Cadillac came to rest in the center median and the Chrysler came to rest on the eastbound shoulder.   Baker was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Breckheimer was extricated by firefighters and initially transported by Hermiston Ambulance to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. She was later flown by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland where she was treated and subsequently released.
