UPDATE/YAKIMA, WA - Police are searching for the man who robbed a convenience store Monday night and got up close and personal with the cashier. It happened at the Shell gas station near the intersection of Nob Hill Boulevard and 38th Avenue just after midnight last night.
The video not only shows the robber take money from the cash register but he also ripped a personal item right off the cashier's neck. You can see the suspect come into the gas station with the hood of his sweatshirt and a bandanna covering his face.
He immediately starts threatening the cashier and forces him over to the register where he takes the money and even violently rips the clerk's chain right off of his neck. Then the robber forces the clerk to get in the bathroom. As he leaves you can see a clear image of the handgun he brought with him.
A camera outside the store gets a good shot of the man's face but police tell me they don't have a lead in the case so far. If you think you know who the man in that video is, call the Yakima Police Department.
