Child Killed In Bonner County Crash

BONNER COUNTY, Idaho - A child was killed in a car crash in Bonner County Tuesday morning. 

Idaho State Police said 25-year-old Kenneth Abey of Sagle, was driving north on Highway 57 when he left the roadway. His semi-truck went down a 10-foot embankment and hit several trees. Abey was taken to the hospital. His exact condition is unknown at this time. 

Idaho State Police said a child was in the cab with Abey and died in the crash. 

The incident is still under investigation.

"Butch" Otter announced this week that he signed a letter for Idaho to participate in the First Responder Network Authority, known as FirstNet.
