Candidates Running for 4th District Congressional Seat Speak at Public Forum Wednesday

Posted: Updated:
RICHLAND, WA - On Wednesday, voters heard from the candidates vying for Washington's  4th Congressional District seat.

Current 4th District Rep. Doc Hastings is retiring at the end of the year.

Right now, there are eight Republican candidates looking to replace Hastings, and on Wednesday, all eight gathered at Richland High School for a forum.

The Benton County Republican Party put together the event.

The party's chairman says the event allows voters to make a more informed decision on the candidates before the primary election in august.

All the candidates answered  a series of questions. Check out the video above for just a part of what was said at the forum.

Washington's primary is August 5th.
