UPDATE/GRANDVIEW, WA - A suspect wanted for multiple burglaries in Kennewick is now in custody.

Officers arrested Dwayne Bateman, 32, on Friday in Grandview. He was booked into the Benton County Jail. He is facing charges for residential and 1st degree burglary.

KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police are looking for a man who they say broke into two homes in the same morning.

Police say around 5 a.m. on June 13th Dwayne Bateman, 32, used a large doggy door to break into a garage on the 2200 block of S. Lyle Street. The homeowner caught Bateman in the garage and tried to restrain him, they struggled, but Bateman got away.

Police say around 8 a.m. Bateman broke into another home on the 900 block of W. 25th through an unlocked sliding glass door. The homeowner confronted Bateman and he ran off.
