OTHELLO, WA - An Othello man is now in custody, accused of multiple burglaries resulting in thousands of dollars worth of stolen property.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says the burglaries have been going on since June, including a credit card being stolen and used to buy items at local businesses.

Deputies were able to track down primary suspect John Monday. After being granted a search warrant, deputies found stolen property at Monday's home including the stolen credit card and a stolen 24-foot Prowler travel trailer from Montana. However, Monday wasn't home.

Deputies found out he was headed to Ritzville to pick up his girlfriend from the Adams County Jail. Deputies coordinated with Washington State Patrol and stopped him along his way. He was taken into custody without incident. Deputies also found meth and paraphernalia inside his vehicle.

Monday is currently in the Adams County Jail pending possible charges for burglary, possession of an access device, theft, and possession of a controlled substance.
