SPOKANE, Wash. - This week we look back at the first year of Hoopfest!

The tournament drew big crowds, big hair and short shorts to the streets of downtown Spokane in 1990, and at the time, no one knew it would turn into the biggest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world.

    COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - A 25-year-old man from Lapwai, Idaho, was sentenced Tuesday to more than 13 years in prison for an assault that happened last year. According to court records, in July of 2017, Aleck Walker approached a woman parked in a vehicle in an alley. The woman's daughter and father were also inside the vehicle at the time.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane City Council President Ben Stuckart has written a letter to Greyhound, urging the company to crack down on Border Patrol agents searching the company's buses in Spokane and elsewhere.  The letter, dated June 13, 2018, was sent to Greyhound Lines, Inc. President and CEO Dave Leach, as well as the company's Senior Legal Officer Tricia Martinez.

    BOISE, Idaho (AP) - An Idaho couple who says their son was sprayed with cyanide by a predator-killing trap that federal workers mistakenly placed on U.S. land near their home has sued the government.    Mark and Theresa Mansfield filed the lawsuit this week seeking more than $150,000 in damages.
