The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the 2014 All-IFL First and Second Teams.
The three-time defending United Bowl Champion Sioux Falls Storm have an IFL-best 8 selections to all-league teams.  Mainstays on the All-IFL First Team are OL Myniya Smith and Center Charlie Sanders.  2014 marks the 4th consecutive First Team All-IFL selections for the duo (2011-2014). Last year’s IFL Defensive Player of the Year, LB Tyler Knight, was selected to the First Team for the second consecutive season.  Kick Returner/Running Back Tory Harrison rounds out the First Team selections.  Four-time United Bowl Champion Chris Dixon earns a Second Team nod in his return to the IFL. DL Eze Obiora, DB Kyle Theret, and K Parker Douglass also earned Second Team Honors.
The #1 seed in the Intense Conference, the Colorado Ice, placed 6 players on All-IFL teams. First Team selections include QB Willie Copeland, WR Kyle Kaiser, and LB/DB Joe Thornton.  This is Copeland’s first all-league selection. He led the IFL in passing yards (2,376) and passing TDs (56) in 2014.  This is Kaiser’s second consecutive First Team selection. OL Sanford Banks, DL Jason Jones, and DB Corey Sample each made their debut on an all-league team in 2014, earning Second Team Honors.

The two teams that will challenge the Storm and Ice in this week’s Conference Championship matchups are the Nebraska Danger and the Cedar Rapids Titans.  Both the Danger and Titans have 5 representatives.  Danger OL Darius Savage joins Smith and Sanders on the First Team Offensive Line.  This is Savage’s second straight selection.  Two newcomers, DL Claude Wroten and DB Jamar Love make their first appearance on an all-league team, both earning First Team nods. WR Kayne Farquharson (three-time All-IFL selection), and IFL veteran LB Pig Brown earned spots on the Second Team.  For the Titans, RB LaRon Council was selected First Team All-IFL for the third straight season. Council led all RBs with 695 rushing yards in 2014.  Joining Council on the First Team is DL Kyle Jenkins and K Rockne Belmonte. Both players are making their all-league debut.  OL Albert Erni Jr. and rookie Kick Returner Robert Brown earned Second Team Honors.
The Texas Revolution placed 4 players on all-league teams.  WR Clinton Solomon, the IFL’s all-time leader in receiving yards (4,491) earned First Team honors.  This is Solomon’s 5th selection to an all-league team (First Team ‘09, ’10, ‘13/Second Team ’11, ’12).  Joining Solomon on the First Team is DB Frankie Solomon Jr. This is Solomon Jr.’s second straight First Team nod.  Newcomers DL Demario Dixon and LB/DB Javicz Jones earned Second Team nods.

The Tri-Cities Fever have 3 representatives.  A finalist for IFL Rookie of the Year last season, DB Donyae Colemen earned a First Team selection in his sophomore campaign.  A pair of veterans, RB Keithon Flemming and DB Lionell Singleton, were named to the Second Team.  Flemming finished the 2014 season with 548 rushing yards and 18 TDs.
The Bemidji Axemen and Green Bay Blizzard each placed two players on all-league teams.  WR Ryan Balentine and rookie DL Jordan Morgan were named to the First Team for the Axemen.  Blizzard rookie WR Donte Sawyer and OL William Maxwell earned Second Team nods.  Rounding out the All-IFL teams is Wyoming Cavalry WR Samuel Charles. Wyoming’s young wide receiver impressed in his rookie season, earning a Second Team selection.
