Man Who Crashed Vehicle into Hermiston Business Arrested

 HERMISTON, OR - A 38-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for crashing his vehicle into a business over the weekend in Hermiston. 

Hermiston Police say Loreto Ramos crashed his vehicle into the side of he Eastern Oregon Mobile Slaughter business located on West Hermiston Avenue on Saturday, and then took off. 

Detectives from the Hermiston Police Department have been actively searching for Ramos and they eventually tracked him down and brought him in for questioning Wednesday.

Detectives say Ramos was interviewed at the Hermiston Police Department and was cooperative with detectives and gave an account of what happened during the early morning hours of June 14th.  

Ramos was processed at the Hermiston Police Department before being booked into the Umatilla County Jail on one count of Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver (Hit/Run), one count of Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, and one count of Reckless Driving.

Ramos was also processed on a Failure to Appear warrant out of Umatilla County for Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, Attempt to Elude, Reckless Driving, and Theft.  That warrant was issued in 2000.
