KENNEWICK, WA - Hundreds of college students walked across the stage Friday evening, as part of of Columbia Basin College's 58th commencement at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.

About 1,300 students graduated as part of the Class of 2014. However, only about 600 students actually walked at the graduation.

A record 74 students were hooded with bachelor degrees in bachelor degrees in applied management and project management.

"We provide an excellent education for students and I think that word's gotten out that we have awesome professors and they want to come," CBC Director of Student Activities Alice Schlegel believes.

The CBC bachelor's graduates receive a hood as part of the ceremony because of the level of education they have pursued beyond the associate's degree.
