EPHRATA, WA - Authorities in the central Washington community of Ephrata say a man was stabbed and later died Friday.
Ephrata police and Grant County sheriff's officers responded to a home on a domestic violence call.
Officers reportedly confronted a man in his 20s who barricaded himself inside the home with a knife.
The man's girlfriend and child were outside the home when officers arrived.
When authorities entered the home they found the man stabbed in the chest. He was taken to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead. Ephrata Police say they will release more information next week.
