Large Power Outage in Pasco

UPDATE/PASCO, WA - Some Franklin PUD customers in Pasco may have experienced a power outage Wednesday morning.

The Utility District says there was a planned maintenance to upgrade equipment, but restoration took longer than expected. About 1,000  homes and businesses from 4th Avenue to 19th Avenue, north of Court Street were without power for a little over two hours.

Crews restored the power just after 11:00 a.m.

PASCO, WA - The Franklin Public Utility District says multiple crews of linemen are working to restore power to a large part of Pasco.The PUD says a contractor caused an outage Wednesday morning, knocking out power to about 1,000 homes and businesses from 4th Avenue to 19th Avenue, north of Court Street. 

The traffic light coming off Interstate 182 on 4th Avenue is currently out, but the PUD says police are responding to the intersection to control traffic.

There's no word yet when the power will come back on.
