WALLA WALLA, WA - A 60-year-old man is facing one count of first degree robbery for robbing a Walla Walla bank Friday.

The Walla Walla Police Department says Paul A. Schneider came into the Banner Bank on South 9th Avenue in Walla Walla Friday afternoon and threatened to kill the manager if he didn't give him any money. Scheider didn't show a weapon, but he got away with some cash.

Schneider didn't get away for long, police were searching for less than 20 minutes when they spotted Schneider and arrested him. Walla Walla Police Captain Chris Buttice took Schneider into custody at gunpoint near the intersection of Chestnut and Sprague. A large amount of cash believed stolen during the robbery was recovered while searching Schneider.

Schneider was booked into the county jail.
