UMATILLA COUNTY, OR -  A man jailed in connection with a deadly home invasion attack on an elderly woman reaches a plea deal with the Umatilla County District Attorney's Office.

Jacob Lee White, 19, of Walla Walla last week entered into a judicial settlement conference with the office and his lawyer. A judge agreed to White's guilty plea deal for 1st degree robbery and 1st degree burglary. White was also facing charges for murder and kidnapping.

White and two other men are all facing charges, accused of robbing and attacking 79-year-old Joyce Key, who lived alone outside of Milton-Freewater in winter of 2012. Investigators found Key the next morning, bound with duct tape. She died from head injuries at a Spokane hospital.

Matthew Hermann pleaded not-guilty to aggravated murder charges, which carries the possibility of a death sentence. His trial is set for summer 2015. Caleb Scott faces murder charges and his trial is set for Dec. 2nd. Both White and Scott face a minimum of 25 years in prison.

A Umatilla County judge says he will wait to set a sentencing date for White until after the conclusion of both co-defendant's cases.
