Matt's Action Cam: Kids & Cops coming together with 'Spokane PAL'

KHQ.com - The Spokane Police Activities League (Spokane PAL) is a partnership program developed by Spokane community leaders and the Spokane Police Department.

The object of this program is to engage potential at-risk youth with positive athletic, academic and community service programs that will secure their path to a successful, healthy and prosperous adult-hood.

The Spokane PAL program will be implementing several athletic programs to establish a holistic approach to addressing youth crime and gang involvement.

This program is a collaborative effort with agencies consisting of law enforcement, faith based and non-profit organizations, Spokane schools, the local business community, juvenile probation, doc, and other interested agencies.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - There's a new fundraising effort to help the victims of the shooting at Freeman High School. About a dozen volunteers, many with ties to the school, came together on Tuesday night to make metal bracelets. They hammered the words "Freeman Strong" onto the front, with a volleyball and a cheerleading megaphone on the sides -- since the three girls who were wounded in the shooting were on the school's volleyball or cheerleading team.
