Two leading outdoor power equipment companies, Preferred Power, Inc. (PPI) of Charlotte, NC and Power Distributors of Columbus, Ohio have agreed to merge their operations effective July 1, 2014.

Two leading outdoor power equipment companies, Preferred Power, Inc. (PPI) of Charlotte, NC and Power Distributors of Columbus, Ohio have agreed to merge their operations effective July 1, 2014. Both companies have been engaged in the Outdoor Power Equipment industry for over 65 years.

This combination will blend the talents and resources of both companies to provide a more robust product offering to customers in the Northeast, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. In addition, the combination will deliver broader coverage, enhanced technology, and increased financial strength that will optimize service solutions for customers in all regions. The combination of these two award-winning distributors represents over 125 years of outdoor power equipment experience.

PPI is excited to offer its customers the expanded solutions and distribution capabilities of the new, larger company, and expect that this transition will have minimal impact on current service. PPIs current customers will continue to work with their existing account management teams.
