Throwback Thursday: Do you remember the Lambada? The forbidden dance?

KHQ.COM - Do you remember the Lambada in 1990? Did you pay your hard earned cash to see the two films based on "the forbidden dance?" One of the movies was actually called "The Forbidden Dance." Imbd.com has this description of the other movie aptly named, Lambada: "Kevin Laird is a Beverly Hills school teacher by day and a mystery man by night. Using his lambada dance moves to first earn the kid's respect and acceptance, Kevin then teaches them academics. But when a jealous student exposes Kevin's double life, his two worlds collide, threatening his job and reputation."

Box office winner? According to boxofficemojo.com the movie grossed just $4.2 million in its first week. "The Forbidden Dance" grossed 1.8 million.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - A Spokane woman is speaking out after she was dragged about 20 feet by a car, and nearly run over, after purse snatching. Kathy Kohlieber broke her pelvis and had to be sent to Multicare Valley Hospital. She’s been there since the incident Saturday evening around 5 p.m. Kathy says she went to Walmart, “to get a bag of Cosmos caramel corn, which is so good.”

    BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A northern Idaho lawmaker told students affiliated with Planned Parenthood he would call law enforcement officials if they attempted to visit his office at the Capitol.    Students and officials with Planned Parenthood on Monday recorded a heated exchange with Sen. Dan Foreman, a Republican from Moscow, while trying to schedule a meeting with him to discuss birth control and sex education.
