JUST ASK SHANE: Question About New Construction in south Richland
RICHLAND, WA - We have an update tonight on a construction project going on in south Richland. Catherine sent us a Facebook message asking, "What is being built by the new Gesa building near Queensgate. No signs... just an unusual looking building."
Well Catherine, we found out that this brightly colored building with lots of windows and tinted glass will be the new home of Numerica Credit Union's Richland branch. They'll be moving from their current location on Fowler Street next month.
The new branch has an inviting design with lots of daylight and open space. Inside, the traditional row of bank tellers is gone... replaced with lots of meeting spaces, where they can work with you one-on-one to help you reach your financial goals.
"We want to be able to make it so you feel good and comfortable walking into our branch. We want you to know the people that you're working with, and have those conversations so that we can help you find the solution to what you need financially," said Kelli Hawkins, a Numerica Credit Union spokesperson.
The new Richland branch will also feature free wi-fi and a tech bar, where you'll be able to charge your cell phone. They'll celebrate with a grand opening week from August 11th through the 15th, and they have special customer appreciation events scheduled for every day that week.
