Fun in the Sun Retreads Car Show Takes Over TRAC in Pasco

PASCO, WA - More than 100 cars filled the parking lot at the TRAC in Pasco on Saturday, for the 7th Annual Fun in the Sun Retreads Show & Shine.

The show, which is put on by one man and his family and friends, featured cars from as far back as 1928 to present day. Organizers try to hold the show every year around Independence Day.

We ran into one man who has been working to rebuild his 1932 Chevrolet Coupe for the past seven years.

"This car comes out of St. Louis Missouri--bought it with pocket change that I had saved up," said Jack Towne from Pasco. "An old car, antique cars are hard to drive because you can't find parts for them if break down, so I decided to build a hot rod out it.

Towne says he plans to have the car finished by this time next year.

More than 50 of the cars on display at the show went home with awards.
