Fever Players Hold Football Camp for Local Kids

PASCO, WA - Community involvement is a big part of being a football player for the Tri-Cities Fever, and two Fever players are doing what they can to give back to their community this week. 

Fever running back Keithon Flemming is hosting a football camp this week at Highland Park in Pasco, along with his teammate, defensive back Rudell Crim.  Hundreds of local kids are taking part in the week-long camp to learn football skills and take in the sunshine.  The Fever players say on top of football, they want the kids to take away life lessons, too. 

"I went into this wanting to teach them how to be better people in society. So I'm dedicating 15 minutes of each day talking about something different, different aspect of life. They're so young, if you put that in their mind now, they start to develop a habit, and they start to get the concept that school is important. When they get up in age, you don't have to re-teach them, they're already been taught, it tends to stick around," said Fever running back Keithon Fleming.

"Education is everything. Without education, it's hard to make it in life right now, education should be first priority for us and them as well," added Fever defensive back Rudell Crim.

The camp continues through Friday at Highland Park in Pasco.
