Irrigation Water Returning Around Prosser But at Reduced Level

Posted: Updated:
PROSSER, WA - Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District customers in and around the City of Prosser can expect some water system changes for the next couple days.

The District has shut off irrigation service this week to diagnose some issues in SVID's system infrastructure. The district didn't plan to make these improvements until after the irrigating season has passed. However, the repairs are necessary now and will take a significant time to address.

What customers expect in the days to come:
• Irrigation water will begin to return to irrigation distribution boxes and lines tomorrow morning, July 10th .
• Customers will see reduced pressure but this will increase in the next week or two.
• Pressure will be less than usual for the reminder of the year due to the current condition of the irrigation system.
