Firefighters Responding to Brush Fire Near I-82 Outside of Prosser

UPDATE/PROSSER, WA. - A brush fire along Gibbon Rd. near Prosser is mostly out.

Firefighters will remain on scene all night Tuesday to make sure it doesn't flare back up. The first was first reported around 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

PROSSER, WA - Multiple engines are responding to a brush fire that sparked Tuesday afternoon near Prosser.
The fire is located along the south side of I-82 near the Gibbon Rd. exit. The fire started around 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. The fire is difficult for firefighters to reach, so they've built up a fire line ahead of the fire, that the fire will eventually reach. 

About 35 firefighters initially responded to this fire.
