JUST ASK SHANE: New Construction near Queensgate in Richland

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, WA - We found out this week that Richland will soon be the home of two new restaurants.

It all started with an email from Chelsey who says "They're moving a lot of dirt by the Chase Bank on Queensgate.  What's going to be built there?" Chelsey's talking about the front corner of Vintner Square at the intersection of Queensgate and Duportail.  We talked with the City of Richland and found out that two new restaurants will go into that space once the building is completed.

One will be a Qdoba Mexican Grill, which specializes in fresh made burritos, quesadillas, and salads.  They have several restaurants in the Seattle, Portland and Spokane areas, but this will be their first in the Tri-Cities.  A spokesperson told me they're excited about expanding into our area, and plan to open sometime next spring.

The other restaurant is called Hop Jacks.  They have several locations around the Puget Sound area, and two in Spokane.  Hop Jacks describes itself as a neighborhood gathering place with the coldest beer in town.  Their menu is loaded with burgers, sandwiches, and salads.
