Grandview Firefighters Investigating House Fire

Posted: Updated:

GRANDVIEW, WA - The Grandview Fire Department was dispatched to call about smoke at a home on Elm Street on Wednesday afternoon.

When firefighters first arrived, they saw smoke coming out of the second story attic vents. The first crews found light smoke on both floors with the fire on the first floor in a wall in the kitchen.

The fire was quickly contained to one room. Firefighters do not believe the fire is suspicious, they believe the fire started within a wall near a light switch. The Red Cross is helping the 8 people who lived inside the home find a place to stay.
