Coyote Ridge Corrections Center on Lockdown after Inmate Brawl

CONNELL, WA (AP) - Operations have returned to normal at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center following a modified lockdown because of a brawl involving 22 inmates at the prison near Connell on Sunday.

Three inmates injured in the fight and have since been returned to the prison. Regular activity resumed Tuesday.

PREVIOUS - The Coyote Ridge Corrections Center at Connell is on a modified lockdown following an inmate fight.Corrections spokesman Will Mader says a fight between two inmates in the minimum security section later escalated into a fight between 22 inmates Sunday night. 

Three inmates had to be treated for injuries. Corrections Officers haven't said why the two inmates began fighting.

The prison canceled several activities and limited movement in the building on Monday following the fight.
