Yakima Co. Man Fires Rifle at Neighbor Over Vehicle Disagreement

YAKIMA, WA. - A 57-year-old man is facing reckless endangerment charges, accused of shooting a rifle at his neighbor.

Yakima County deputies responded to the 1200 block of SR 821 after the neighbor reported the incident. Upon arrival, the neighbor told deputies the two had gotten into a disagreement over a vehicle. That's when the 57-year-old man allegedly fired one round from a .22 caliber rife. The victim ran away and hid an an outbuilding on the property, he was not hurt.

Deputies arrested and booked the suspect into the Yakima County Jail. They also seized his rife and ammunition. They believe alcohol was a factor.
